Description:
Bangladesh political scenario has dramatically changed after military-backed interim government took charge. It seems that the government does not have priorities to strengthen the democratic institutions. Rather is exclusively engaged in anti-graft campaing against politicians from major political parties of Awami League and Bangladesh Nationalists Party. Former prime ministers Begum Khaleda Zia (BNP) and Shiekh Hasina (AL) possibly will have to live in exile until a parliamentary election is held, which is said to be in 2008. A typical pattern exercised by Pakistan military autocrat General Pervez Musharraf in the name of "criminalisation of politics."
